Library catalogues
The library's holdings in linguistics are recorded in the library's general catalogues. You can choose between the traditional online-catalogue OPAC and the Frankfurt Portal.
The linguistic section of the OPAC is also one of the numerous components of the Lin|gu|is|tik portal or rather of its Catalogue module.
The journals can also be found in the Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB "periodicals database online"). Additionally, all electronic journals are recorded in the Electronic Journals Library (Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek EZB).
Lists of new acquisitions
Since 2004, automatically generated lists have been informing on a monthly basis about the new acquisitions in the respective discipline. The subject code Linguistics has increasingly been used in cases when monographs have initially been acquired for another discipline (e.g., philology, educational sciences, computer science or philosophy) but include linguistically relevant topics.

Online Contents Linguistik contains the tables of contents of more than 450 journals acquired by the former Special Subject Collection General Linguistics, Comparative Linguistics at the University Library.
For the period 1993 to 2014, the freely accessible database lists above 285,000 references.
