The Leo Baeck Institute New York | Berlin and the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung) are organizing a conference on 1700 years of Jewish life in the German-speaking world in December 2020. Proposals can be submitted until 15 August.
The conference is part of the project SHARED HISTORY: 1700 Years of Jewish Life in German-speaking Lands through 52 Objects and the Anniversary Year 321-2021: 1700 Years of Jewish Life in Germany.

Footprints at Frankfurt
September 2019 -
Footprints in Frankfurt is a research project that explores the history of Yiddish and Hebrew prints (until ca. 1800) hold by the Judaica collection at the University Library Frankfurt.
In cooperation with Footprints: Jewish Books Through Time and Place a scholar in residence examines these prints for any signs of previous owners.
These footprints are documented carefully and will eventually become part of our catalogue.
