Research Fellow (PostDoc) Corpus Masoreticum, Hochschule für Jüdische Studien

The Hochschule für Jüdische Studien Heidelberg is looking for a Research Fellow (PostDoc) in Jewish Studies, Masorah Research for the Long-Term Project Corpus Masoreticum, starting December 2021.
The position is limited to three year with the possibility for an extension. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Jewish Studies / Biblical Studies and have in-depth knowledge of cultural and literary theories pertaining to Western European medieval Jewish culture.
As part of the position the Research Fellow will edit, translate and annotate the Masorah (masora magna; masora parva) in selected Ashkenazi Bible codices from the 11th to the 13th centuries and be involved in the further further development of the project.

The new director will be in charge on a newly created unit encompassing the archives, library, collection management, and the curated collections of art, Judaica, applied art, photography, everyday culture and audio-visual media.

CFP DFG Priority Programme Jewish Cultural Heritage

The German Research Foundation (DFG) invites scholars to apply for the first three-year funding period (2022-2024) of its newly established Priority Programme Jewish Cultural Heritage.
The Programme aims at developing an interdisciplinary and multi-perspective focus specific to the issues of social and cultural-political significance and the use of Jewish cultural heritage in Europe. In doing so, it pays particular attention to the historical and contemporary intersections of society, Jewish cultural heritage and political, economic, religious and socio-cultural ordering taxonomies.
Scientists interested in submitting a project proposal will be invited to a preparatory meeting to be held on July 8, 2021. Please register by June 30, 2021.
