The parking situation around the Westend campus is difficult. It is better to travel by public transport, by bike or on foot. A large number of bicycle racks are available.

All rooms are accessible via elevators. There is an elevator in the south and north parts of the building.

💼 Information about our lockers and cloakroom compartments
- To store your bags and jackets, please use a day locker in the entrance area of the SKW building (next to the entrance to the library).
- The compartments are closed with the Goethe Card or library card; some can be used with a PIN code of your own choosing.
- Additional lockers - including those with a PIN code of your choice - are located in the lecture hall center. These are also suitable for bulky things (motorcycle helmets, suitcases, etc.).

The entrances to the SKW building are at ground level, step-free or accessible via a ramp. There are electric door openers on the doors.
Lockers
The lockers are located on the ground floor of the SKW building and can be reached at ground level.
Elevators
In addition to stairs, the upper floors of the library are accessible via an elevator that has a sufficiently wide door opening for any wheelchair.

Disabled toilets are located on the ground floor and 1st floor. The toilet on the 1st floor is accessible via an elevator, which has a sufficiently wide door opening for every wheelchair.

Entrance
A ground-level, step-free entrance leads from Bremer Straße to the adjacent building. This is connected to the IG-farbenhaus via a threshold-free corridor on the first floor (elevator directly opposite the entrance door). The entrance door of the annex has an electric door opener, the transition doors open automatically.
Another entrance with a ramp is at the back of the IG-farbenhaus, to the right of the cafeteria. There is a bell on the door.
Lockers
Lockers are available at all heights. Due to the spatial conditions of the BzG, bags and outer clothing can be taken into the reading room.
Elevators
All rooms from the basement to the 6th floor can be reached via elevators.
To visit the 7th floor and the gallery area of the double-story reading room (Q1, room 1.121/2.121), please contact one of the information desks.
Disabled toilets
On each floor of the IG-farbenhaus there is a disabled toilet within the toilet facility in transverse buildings 2 and 5 - outside the library rooms.
Disabled rest room
Room 1,351 (1st floor, connecting building 3, near Cafeteria Rotunde), equipped with Internet access and a nursing bed.

Reserved parking spaces
There are 2 reserved and appropriately marked parking spaces for disabled visitors.
The access is on Sophienstrasse; Please ring the bell at the barrier and inform the gate staff that the second barrier should also be opened with a key.

You enter the library building from Freimannplatz (on Bockenheimer Landstrasse), the entrance doors are at ground level and can be reached without steps. There is an electric door opener on the door to the right of the revolving door.
Lockers
Lockers for users with reduced mobility are available on the ground floor in the entrance hall next to the entrance to the reading room area and are marked accordingly.
Elevators, stairs
All reading rooms can be reached by elevator.
The mezzanines in the reading room areas are accessible via the internal elevators.
Please contact the staff at the reading room desk or the information desk. They will be happy to help you access a gallery or the magazine literature displayed there.
Unfortunately, the work cabins (carrels) cannot be used by wheelchair users.
Disabled toilets
A disabled toilet is located on the first basement floor of the entrance hall and can be reached using the disabled lift. Please ask the doorman to give you the toilet key.
In the reading room area there are disabled toilets on the first floor. They can be reached using the user elevators and the doors can be opened with a button. Please ask for the key to the toilet cubicle at the reading room counter.

Reserved parking spaces
On the west side of the Otto Stern Center, near the main entrance, there are two reserved and appropriately marked parking spaces for disabled visitors. Access is via Riedbergallee.
Entrance
The Otto Stern Center is located opposite the barrier-free “Uni Campus Riedberg” subway stop. You enter the Otto Stern Center through the main entrance from Riedbergallee; the entrance doors are at ground level and can be reached without steps. A separate entrance for visitors with reduced mobility is located to the right of the main entrance. The electric door opener is located on a column in front of this door. There is also a barrier-free entrance on the side of the Otto Stern Center facing the campus. The entrance to the library is on level 2 of the building, which is accessible by elevator. There is also an electric door opener on a column in front of the library door.
Lockers
Lockers of all heights are available on level 0 in front of the lecture halls and on level 2 in a separate area outside the library.

All levels of the Otto Stern Center are connected by elevators. During opening hours, all library rooms are accessible by elevator.
Outside library opening hours, a barrier-free group study room on level 2 near the lockers can be used.

A disabled toilet is located on level 2 in the locker area. A Euro key is required for access, which is available at the circulation desk if required.
