Temporary closure of the Central Library

Due to rehabilitation work, the Central Library will be closed from September 17–27, 2026..

While the library is closed, you can:

• use other Frankfurt University Library locations as study spaces
• return media to other Frankfurt University Library locations
• have your library card renewed via email to information[at]ub.uni-frankfurt.de
• reach the information desk from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. via 069/ 798-39205

The following are not possible

• entering the building
• using workstations, study spaces (carrels) or accessing permanent lockers
• using media reserved for the reading rooms on the 1st and 3rd floors
• picking up ordered media (orders cannot be processed until September 28)
• picking up library cards
• submitting dissertations in person.
• returning media via the drop box in the Central Library
• contacting the Lost and Found Office
