
How to publish your dissertation
You have several possibilities to publish your dissertation:
- as an online document uploaded on the Publication Server of Goethe University Frankfurt am Main
- on CD-ROM
- as print

I. Electronic publishing on the Publication Server of Goethe University Frankfurt am Main
- Please note the technische Anforderungen (technical requirements) !
- Convert file to pdf-document
[If the printed version of the work is accompanied by a curriculum vitae or other personal data, e.g. an acknowledgement of thanks, these may be removed in the electronic version intended for publication.] - Register file and upload
- You have to hand in your documents at the » Hochschulschriftenstelle der UB (Doctoral Theses Department of the University Library Frankfurt):
- signed » Einverständniserklärung (declaration of consent)
- 2 bound paper copies
- on acid-free, permanent paper (according to DIN ISO 9706)
- in DIN A 4 or A 5 format
- with single threadless binding (no staples, no spiral binding, no clamp binding)
- enter/add date of disputation (also possible in written form)
- signed » Einverständniserklärung (declaration of consent)
- An acknowledgement of receipt for the delivered copies will be issued by the Doctoral Theses Department, open from Monday - Thursday, 8 am to 3 pm. If printed copies of the dissertation have been sent to the Dotoral Theses Department by mail, confirmation of receipt will be sent by the responsible dean's office.

II. Publication on CD-ROM
- Please note the technischen Anforderungen (technical requirements) !
- Convert file to pdf-document
- You have to hand in your documents at the » Hochschulschriftenstelle der UB (Doctoral Theses Department of the University Library Frankfurt):
- 5 CD-ROMs
- in jewel case
- labeled with a waterproof pen or with a CD-Rom sticker
- with an insert for the CD-cover containing the relevant information from the title page of the printed version and including the names of the reviewers plus the date of the oral examination - 4 bound paper copies
- on acid-free, permanent paper (according to DIN ISO 9706)
- in DIN A 4 or A 5 format
- with single threadless binding (no staples, no spiral binding, no clamp binding)
- enter/add date of disputation (also possible in written form)
- 5 CD-ROMs
- 3. An acknowledgement of receipt for the delivered copies will be issued by the Doctoral Theses Department, open from Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. If the printed copies of the dissertation have been sent to the Doctoral Theses Department by mail, confirmation of receipt will be sent by the responsible dean's office.

III. Publication as print
- You have to hand in your documents at the » Hochschulschriftenstelle der UB (Doctoral Theses Department of the University Library Frankfurt):
- 5 bound paper copies
- on acid-free, permanent paper (according to DIN ISO 9706)
- in DIN A 4 or A 5 format
- with single threadless binding (no staples, no spiral binding, no clamp binding)
- enter/add date of disputation (also possible in written form) - An acknowledgement of receipt for the delivered copies will be issued by the Doctoral Theses Department, open from Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. If the printed copies of the dissertation have been sent to the Doctoral Theses Department by mail, confirmation of receipt will be sent by the responsible dean's office.

III.a. Publication as a printed book trade edition
- Depending on the faculty you have to hand in the following number of copies at theHochschulschriftenstelle (Doctoral Theses Department of the University Library):
FB 1: Law 1 copy FB 2-10: : Economics, Social Sciences and Humanities 2 copies FB 11-15: Natural sciences 2 copies FB 16: Medicine 2 copies - An acknowledgement of receipt for the delivered copies will be issued by the Doctoral Theses Department, open from Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. If the printed copies of the dissertation have been sent to the Doctoral Theses Department by mail, confirmation of receipt will be sent by the responsible dean's office.
