DISPOSAL OF UNIVERSITY PUBLICATIONS (THESES)
Technical requirements
- Textual part as 1 PDF/A document, in case of multi-volume works 1 PDF/A document per volume.
The abstract (prefarably in German and English) must not exceed 5000 characters; if not included in the PDF/A, the abstract can be submitted as a separate file. - File format for the textual part: PDF/A - please find instructions for creating a PDF/A document here (German only). If creating a PDF/A document is not possible, a PDF file may be submitted.
Technical requirements:- PDF/A or PDF document file name(s) must not contain either umlaut, special characters or blanks.
- PDF/A or PDF documents must not have any security settings (password protection). This is of the utmost importance for long-term archiving.

Multimedia objects can be added in all current multimedia formats:
Graphics:
- TIFF
- JPG or JPEG
- PNG
- RM
- WMV
- Quicktime (MacOS)
- MP3
- WMA
