Data Management Plans

The foundation of good research data management is a data management plan (DMP). It is a tool for the structured planning and organisation of research data management in research projects based on the data lifecycle, and an increasing number of research funding bodies require such a plan as a prerequisite for third-party funding. The research data team supports researchers at Goethe University in the selection, development and updating of data management plans.

Goethe-RDMO

The Goethe-Research Data Management Organiser (RDMO) is a web service operated by the University Library and the University Computing Centre for the collaborative creation of data management plans. RDMO helps you to plan, manage and document the handling of data in your research project in a structured manner. In addition, it allows you to export the collected information as a text-based output in the form of a report or data management plan. RDMO thus simplifies the application process for funding from research funding bodies such as the EU, DFG and BMBF.
